Educationist urges graduands to uphold values and commitment as they transition to the next phase of their lives.
Graduands must uphold their responsibility and commitment in all their future endeavours, Premalatha Panneerselvam, managing director, Mahatma Group of Schools, Madurai, has said.
Speaking at the 31st graduation day at Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College on March 7, she congratulated the graduands on successful completion of their academic journey and appealed to them to maintain the values, ethics and knowledge imparted by the institution as they stepped into the next phase of their lives.
A total of 1,148 degrees were awarded at the event. Fifty-four rank holders, 637 male students and 357 female students secured undergraduate degrees, while 72 male students and 82 female students were awarded postgraduate degrees.
The ceremony was witnessed with pride by the graduands’ families and faculty members, making it a memorable and joyous occasion.
The college governing council members, including its president M. Vijayaragavan, former president S. Rajagopal, secretary S .R. Sridhar, vice-president R. Jeyaram, joint secretaries N. Surendran and R. Rengaraj and treasurer A. Alwarsamy participated. Principal A. Ramasubbiah and faculty members, including S. Palani, were present.
