
UP: PFI 'training commander' Mohammad Rashid arrested by in Basti district

Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended the man near Basti railway station and incriminating documents were seized from him.
The Uttar Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force (UP STF) has arrested Popular Front of India (PFI) 'training commander' over alleged anti-national activities and for conspiring against the state. According to police, the arrested PFI activist, Mohammed Rashid, is alleged to be a 'training commander' of the PFI and was involved in strengthening the organization by making new members in different states and giving them weapons training. He was apprehended near Basti railway station in Uttar Pradesh while he was trying to travel to Mumbai via Lucknow. According to the UP STF, Rashid was travelling to Mumbai to participate in the upcoming “meetings or training sessions.”More Related News
