Reacting to the Lakhimpur Kheri trampling incident, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, “The government will go into the depth and expose elements involved in the incident and will take strict action against them.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the “unfortunate” trampling incident in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday, saying that the state government would investigate the matter and expose the persons involved in causing the disturbance.
Allegedly, Ashish Misra, son of BJP leader and Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home Ajay Misra, ran his car over protesting farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri’s Tikunia. The incident, which killed eight persons, happened when Ashish Misra was going to receive UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, who was visiting Tikunia to attend an event.
