A Dalit woman in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly alleged that a Muslim Youth raped her after befriending her on social media and that his family forced her to convert for marriage.
A Dalit woman here has alleged that a Muslim youth raped her after befriending her through social media, and also accused his family of forcible conversion for marriage, police said on Monday. They said a case was registered against the youth and his family members on the complaint of the woman, who has also alleged that the man forced her to undergo abortion and his family members asked her to bring Rs 7 lakh from her parents before kicking her out of their house on April 10. She has also accused him of hurling casteist remarks at her, they said.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
