
UP: Bride refuses to marry groom during nikah, ties knot with lover at police station

A UP bride refused to marry the groom during nikah in front of the whole family saying that she wouldn't accept this marriage, later, tied the knot with her lover. The incident took place in the Vishunpura village of Kushinagar.
In Vishunpura village of Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, a bride in front of the groom’s family during the wedding said that she wouldn’t accept this marriage. Not only this, the bride reached the police station to plead for marriage with her lover. The girl returned home with the police and married her lover in front of her family.
The police called the girl's father and the groom's side to the police station and settled the matter. On the persuasion of the police, both the parties finally agreed, the bride was married to her lover.
The policemen were also shocked after hearing the complaint of the bride who reached the police station after refusing her marriage.
The bride told the police that her family members want to forcibly marry her while she wants to marry her lover in the Nagar Panchayat Ramkola.
