
Ugandan national held with heroin worth over Rs 6 crore at Delhi airport

A Ugandan woman passenger was arrested with heroin worth over Rs 6 crore at the IGI airport, Delhi.
A Ugandan woman passenger, who arrived at the IGI airport on March 31, was arrested with heroin worth over Rs 6 crore.
On the basis of suspicion, a Ugandan passenger, who arrived from Entebbe (EBB), Uganda via Sharjah (SHJ), was intercepted by the Customs officials.
Upon her medical examination, several capsules were found concealed inside the rectum. A total of 894 grams of the off-white coloured substance, which was tested positive for heroin, was recovered.
It has an international market value of approx. Rs 6.705 crore.
The passenger was arrested under the Narcotic and Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
