Uddhav Thackeray, Narayan Rane lock horns on stage

Union minister Narayan Rane and CM Uddhav Thackeray took potshots at each other at the inauguration of the Chipi airport in the Sindhudurg district.
Coming together on one stage, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and Union Minister Narayan Rane engaged in a bitter war of words during an official function. The duo, along with other top political leaders, were attending the inauguration of the Chipi airport in Sindhudurg district — the first airport in the coastal region of Konkan.
It was just the third such occasion where sworn political enemies Narayan Rane and Uddhav Thackeray were seen on one stage after Rane quit the Shiv Sena on a bitter note in 2005. The relationship between the duo hit rock bottom when Rane was arrested by the Thackeray government during his Jan Ashirwad Yatra for making a controversial statement about the chief minister.
