Two tribal sisters in Madhya Pradesh were assaulted with sticks by their relatives for allegedly chatting with their uncle’s sons over phone, police said on Sunday. Seven people were arrested in connection with the incident, which took place last month, after a video of it went viral on social media platforms, they said.
