Police are investigating a pair of suspicious deaths after a 38-year-old man and 53-year-old man were found dead in a home in the Rabbittown neighbourhood of St. John’s.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a home on Aldershot Street around 9 a.m. NT on Monday, according to Const. Stephanie Myers.
The bodies were removed from the home in the early afternoon, being carried by officers in white Tyvek suits.
Myers said the police will remain on scene for an extended period of time, keeping the scene secured while the investigation continues.
In a statement on Monday afternoon, the RNC said they are seeking information and video footage from the area of Aldershot and its neighbouring streets on Dec. 1 between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Police will be working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine more details about the deaths.
Officers with the criminal investigation division, forensic identification services, and operational patrol are on site, Myers said.
