"The f**k kind of answer is this?" one person asked.
President Donald Trump managed to say one of the least reassuring things possible when Time magazine asked if Americans should be worried about Iran retaliating against the U.S. for its bombing of the Middle Eastern country.
“I guess,” Trump told Time.
“But I think they’re worried about that all the time. We think about it all the time. We plan for it,” the president continued. “But yeah, you know, we expect some things. Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die.”
The Trump administration’s reasons for the attacks have shifted throughout the week, with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt saying Wednesday that the strikes came after the president had “a feeling, based on fact.”
So it’s no surprise that many people on social media were aghast at Trump’s “I guess” remark.
