Tension at Tharuvaikulam fishing harbour as truck carrying ice blocks gets stuck in damaged platform crater.
Tension prevailed at Tharuvaikulam fishing harbour here on Sunday after a truck carrying ice blocks for boats got stuck in a large crater in the middle of the cement platform.
As a result, fishermen could not load ice blocks onto their boats for some time.
Antony Churchill from Tharuvailukalm said the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m., and the vehicle was lifted after about three hours. The platform at the fishing harbour was in a damaged condition for the past few months, leading to vehicles getting stuck on the platform.
“Today’s incident has further worsened the condition of the platform, and vehicles must be cautious while driving on it,” he added.
