Tripura CM Biplab Deb has directed state DGP VS Yadav to review the cases filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against journalists and lawyers.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday directed state police chief VS Yadav to review the cases filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against journalists and lawyers.
The Tripura Police had booked 102 people, including some journalists and lawyers, under UAPA for allegedly sharing fake photos and videos of a mosque burning in Tripura on social media.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
