A candidate in the crowded — and largely overlooked — race for Brooklyn borough president is getting a big-time celebrity boost, with “30 Rock” and “SNL” star Tracy Morgan and local NBA Hall of Famer Chris Mullin releasing get-out-the-vote videos for Councilman Robert Cornegy Jr.
“These are the guys who watched me when there was no lights, no chance or idea of me serving publicly and still believe in my ability to elevate this great, fantastic borough,” Cornegy told The Post. He is one of 14 candidates running for the seat in the June 22 primary election. Cornegy met Morgan in Bedford-Stuyvesant, where his father was the pastor of a church in the late 1980s.More Related News
