Loyola student Sheridan Gorman’s mom makes solemn vow after daughter was ‘executed by illegal migrant’
NY Post
The “shattered” mother of a New York teen murdered near her Chicago university vowed to get “justice” for daughter — but refused to even acknowledge the migrant gunman accused of executing her in front of her friends.
“We are gonna get justice for Sheridan,” said Jessica Gorman — the mother of slain 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman — outside the family’s Yorktown Heights home on Monday.
“We have a voice and it’s gonna be heard,” the grieving mom told The Post. “We are beyond shattered.”
But Jessica and the family decided to save their voices for Sheridan alone this week as they mourn and bury her.
She wouldn’t spare a single word for the Venezuelan migrant charged with her murder, 25-year-old Jose Medina-Medina.
“We are really focusing this week specifically on burying our daughter. We are really focusing on the beauty of her life,” Jessica said. “We are not addressing this man.”
