Commodore Steve Moorhouse said we should demonstrate that democracy is all about keeping peace and stability
Out on a seven-month deployment, the United Kingdom’s Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is likely to be a catalyst in the promotion of trade in the Asia-Pacific region. Commodore Steve Moorhouse, the commander of CSG, said on Thursday that the exercise is all about nations coming together for free flow of trade.
The CSG has camped off the Mumbai coast for a week. It comprises four Royal Navy warships and two Royal Fleet Auxiliaries with a dozen helicopters. It is accompanied by a US Navy destroyer and a frigate from the Royal Netherlands Navy. The flagship is the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, the largest warship ever built for the Royal Navy.
