Maharashtra is the worst-hit state by Covid-19 pandemic. Both — the caseload and the Covid-19 death toll — in the state have been rapidly increasing amid reports of shortage of oxygen and Remdesivir injections, prescribed for critical patients. However, state health officials maintain that the state-wide death toll has not risen much. Meanwhile, patients complain that they are struggling to get beds as the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic stays strong in Maharashtra. On April 1, the number of deaths in Maharashtra stood at 249.
