Thunderstorms, light rain likely in Delhi for next 3 days: IMD

As per the prediction by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorms, gusty winds and light intensity rains are expected over isolated regions in the Delhi-NCR for the next three days.
Delhiites heaved a sigh of relief from scorching heatwave conditions as parts of the national capital received light rainfall along with strong winds on Friday evening which continued for a second consecutive day on Saturday.
The maximum temperature in the city dropped by about two degrees Celsius, settling at 42.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature was recorded at 29.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain in the Delhi-NCR region along with adjoining areas in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Check IMD's latest weather forecast.
Predicting a wet spell over Northwest and East India, IMD wrote, "Wet spell over Northwest and East India during May 21 to 24 with peak intensity on May 23." (sic)

As per the IMD bulletin, thunderstorms, dust storms and gusty winds are likely to occur over adjoining areas of the Delhi-NCR. Light intensity rains are expected over isolated regions in the city.
As per a Skymet weather report, pre-monsoon rains may become slightly intense over Delhi and NCR region on May 23 and continue until May 24, resulting in a significant drop in the temperature over the region.
