Three minor boys in Tamil Nadu’s Tuticorin district were arrested for repeated sexual abuse of their neighbouring nine-year-old boy. They showed him explicit videos on their phones and forced him to do the same.
Three minor boys in Tamil Nadu’s Tuticorin were arrested for repeated sexual abuse of their neighboring nine-year-old boy for almost one-and-a-half-months. The three boys, who are in class 8 (two boys) and 9 (one boy) were arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) act by the Kovilpatti east police on Friday, January 21.
The incident was reported after the victim, who was hospitalised for 10 days, told his parents about the abuse when he was discharged.
According to the police investigation, the students watched porn on their mobile phones, which they were using for online classes and to play games. They sexually abused the victim by showing him videos and forcing him to do the same.
Police said that the victim and the abusers were neighbours and used to be friends.
According to a police source as quoted by The Times of India, “The boys used to play online games together at one of their houses. During one such time, the accused showed the explicit videos and forced the boy to do the same. They also took him to a narrow unused street nearby to abuse him.”
Police state that the boy was afraid of repeated abuse and did not go outdoors for many days. His friends waited for him to come out so they could take him to the street and abuse him. This went on for one-and-a-half months.
Unable to bear the physical and mental trauma, the victim lost his appetite and fell ill. He was admitted to a private hospital in Kovilpatti on January 5 and underwent treatment till January 15.
The woman's father identified the accused outside the theatre after the screening and started beating him. He was also joined by some passersby.
