
Three Allahabad HC judges test positive for Covid-19; contacts being traced

Three judges of the Allahabad High Court have tested positive for Covid-19 and the areas inhabited by them have been declared as hotspots.
The risk of corona virus infection is increasing in Uttar Pradesh. The virus has entered the Allahabad High Court where three judges have been found Covid positive, which has created a stir. The areas inhabited by the three judges have been declared as hotspots. The staff and the people, including judges, who came in contact with the infected judges, are being tested now.
Earlier, during the meeting of the Administrative Committee chaired by Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal on Sunday, a decision was taken for virtual hearing of the cases from January 3. Due to the novel coronavirus, the virtual hearings are being held in Allahabad High Court and Lucknow Bench.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
