India Today has exclusively accessed the Indian Government's counter against the Nirav Modi's appeal before the UK High Court. The hearing is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
On August 9, Modi - a prime accused of defrauding Punjab National Bank to the tune of Rs 11,000 crore along with other accused, had alleged that if he is extradited to India then he would be at risk of committing suicide, he won’t get good medical facilities and hygiene and security at Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail are not good.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
