A 59-year-old tourist was found dead on Tuesday evening during swimming lessons at a resort in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram.
A 59-year-old tourist died on Tuesday evening during swimming lessons at a resort in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram.
According to a report published in The Times of India (TOI), the deceased was identified as Vidya Raghavan, hailing from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and was staying at a homestay in Varkala for the past two months.
At around 6 pm, she was found lying in the pool by the hotel staff, following which she was rushed to a hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead.
Reportedly, she had been taking swimming lessons for the past one week.
Based on the preliminary evidence, it appears that the woman suffered a heart attack while swimming.
Further investigations are on.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
