Popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday. He was 28. Police said his car was ambushed by two other vehicles, whose occupants then opened fire. Visuals from the scene of crime showed Moose Wala’s jeep and nearby buildings riddled with bullets.
In the wake of Moose Wala’s killing, his fans have taken to social media to point out the uncanny coincidences in the manner of his death, the song lyrics he penned and the cover art of his albums.

Two weeks before his death, the singer released a song called ‘The Last Ride’. The lyrics of the track go: "Ho chobbar de chehre utte noor dassda, ni ehda uthuga jawani ch janaja mithiye (the glow on the face of this young man shows that he will die young).”
The song ‘The Last Ride’was reportedly a homage to American rapper Tupac Shakur (stage name 2Pac). Considered one of the greatest rapper of all time and a proponent of gangsta rap, Tupac was shot dead in his car at the age of 25 in 1996. Moose Wala was also in his car when he was attacked.
Moreover, the cover art of the ‘The Last Ride’ track features the car Tupac was in the day he was killed.
