S.R. Praveen of The Hindu wins the Swaraj Award for Best Reporter for his work on poverty eradication in Kerala.
S.R. Praveen, Principal Correspondent, The Hindu, Thiruvananthapuram bureau, received the Swaraj Award for 2026 for the Best Reporter in the English print media category from Minister for Local Self-Governments M.B. Rajesh at the Local Self-Government Day celebrations in Kannur on Thursday. He was chosen for the award in recognition of his feature ‘How Kerala eradicated extreme poverty.’ The award carries a cash prize of ₹25,000, a citation, and a memento.
