Telangana Police form a nine-member SIT to investigate drug and arms violations in the Moinabad farmhouse case.
The Telangana Police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the Moinabad farmhouse case involving alleged drug use and firearm violations, with directions to complete the probe within three months.
An official memorandum issued by the Director General of Police on March 17 stated that the nine-member SIT will function under the overall supervision of Future City Commissioner of Police G. Sudheer Babu.
The team includes senior officers such as Chevella DCP Yogesh Goutham, Greyhounds Group Commander M. Ravinder Reddy, Shadnagar DCP Sirisha, and personnel from the Telangana Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE), along with officers from Moinabad and surrounding police stations. Sub-Inspector C. Koteshwar Rao has been named the investigating officer.
“The SIT shall go to the bottom of the case during the investigation and also probe into all aspects in connection with the commission of offence. The team shall maintain the highest levels of professional competence throughout the investigation,” the document read.
Meanwhile, the police have sought one week’s custody of the three accused to enable detailed interrogation and to gather further evidence, including possible links and the broader circumstances surrounding the case.
