
Telangana: Land dispute triggers clashes between forest department officials, tribals

In two separate incidents, clashes were reported between forest department officials and tribals over land dispute in Telangana.
Forest lands have resulted in many clashes between the forest department and land occupants in several districts of Telangana. In one such incident, when forest officials tried capturing the land, they faced protests by tribals, with women holding an official's feet requesting him not to snatch the land back from them.More Related News

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
