The Election Commission of India (ECI) has published the final electoral roll of voters in Tamil Nadu on Monday (February 23, 2025), after carrying out the much-debated Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. This assumes significance as the State is just months away from Assembly elections.

The Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu, Archana Patnaik, said there are 5,67,07,380 electors across the State, as per the final electoral roll. The number of electors in the age group of 18-19 years is 12.51 lakh and senior citizen electors (85 plus) are 3.99 lakh.
The assembly constituency with the highest number of electors is 27-Shozhinganallur constituency in Chengalpattu district with 5,36,991 electors.
The final voter roll was initially scheduled for release on February 17 but was later postponed to February 23.
