A man claimed that he was assaulted by a policeman for splitting on the road in Chennai. Jayachadran, who works as a government bus driver, was assaulted by constable Louis.
A man was beaten up by a policeman in Tamil Nadu's Chennai for spitting on the road. The victim, identified as Jayachandran, suffered from a torn lip and other injuries to his chin.

In a viral video, policemen were seen trying to stop Jayachandran from speaking and trying to take him away from the spot of the incident. According to Jayachandran, he was beaten up for nearly an hour for spitting on the road.
However, the cop denied the allegations and claimed that Jayachandran spat on him and not on the road.
The video also showed constable Louis threatening the victim, while surrounded by local residents who demanded answers from the police. Later, the police dispersed the crowd and further investigation is underway.
