The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education has issued a set of guidelines for preparedness and management of the possible third wave of Covid-19 cases. A circular issued by DME has stated that in view of the reports regarding the third wave of Covid-19, which might affect children below 18 years, a set of instructions have been issued to the deans of medical institutions under the control of DME. The instructions have stated that the nodal officer, preferably paediatricians, will make necessary preparedness for the possible onset of Covid wave in the future.
