
Tamil Nadu farmer transforms son's bicycle into plough to cultivate land

After suffering great loss over the past year, a farmer in Tamil Nadu's Agoor village decided to put the bicycle his son received from the state government to good use.
The farmers in India experienced huge losses during the coronavirus pandemic. For them, the Covid-induced lockdown struck at their source of income since it overlapped with the time of harvest. One such example is that of a farmer from Agoor village in Tamil Nadu's Thiruthani district. This farmer had to convert his son's bicycle into a plough and seek the help of family members to cultivate his field.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
