A tea shop owner, Thavamani, has put face masks on statues of former chief ministers J Jayalalithaa and MG Ramachandran to create awareness amid coronavirus spike.
With an aim to create awareness amid coronavirus spike, a tea vendor has put face masks on statues of former chief ministers J Jayalalithaa and MG Ramachandran. A tea shop owner, Thavamani, was concerned about the rising Covid-19 cases and non-compliance of protocols by the villagers near Pollachi in Coimbatore district. Thavamani decided to create awareness among people who frequented his tea stall and the easiest way he thought was by setting an example of their favourite leaders.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
