Two people have been arrested in Tamil Nadu's Salem for allegedly destroying evidence linked to the death of Kanagaraj, the prime accused in the Kodanad heist and murder case.
Police on Tuesday arrested two persons in Salem for allegedly destroying evidence linked to the death of Kanagaraj, the prime accused in the Kodanad heist and murder case. The two men arrested are Dhanapal, the brother of Kanagaraj, and Ramesh.Kanagaraj was employed as a driver to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. He died five days after the April 2017 heist at the Kodanad estate in Nilgiris district, which was used by the former AIADMK supremo as a retreat.
Kanagaraj was called the mastermind in the Kodanadu heist by Sayan and Valayar Manoj, the other important accused in the case.
