'Taliban sympathisers' on Assam Police watch list: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Days after 14 people were arrested for allegedly making pro-Taliban posts on social media in Assam, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday that all 'Taliban sympathisers' are on the watch list of the Assam Police. “We have not arrested everyone; we have brought them to the police station and counseled them; they have deleted the post and gone back. We have arrested only those who show violent intent in their social media posts. Many people are on the watch list of the Assam Police,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
