The mall, which will be located on the Cooptex campus in Egmore, is to be constructed at a cost of ₹227 crore.
The mall will be spread over 4.54 lakh sq.m. and have eight floors with a centralised air conditioning system. It will have parking facilities for about 300 cars. Its obejctive is to market handloom products from across the State under a single roof.
Ministers R. Gandhi and P.K. Sekarbabu, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam, and senior officials were present at the unveiling in the Secretariat.
