
Supreme Court adjourns Pegasus case on request of Centre, next hearing on Friday

The Supreme Court has adjourned the Pegasus case hearing till Friday after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta sought the same.
The Supreme Court has adjourned the Pegasus case hearing till Friday, February 25, after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta sought the same on Tuesday.
Appearing for the Centre, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said he would be busy with a part-heard matter related to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act on February 23 and, accordingly, asked for the Pegasus petitions to be heard on Friday instead of Wednesday.
Now, the report filed by the high-level committee formed by the Supreme Court to probe the Pegasus issue will be taken up by the apex court on Friday.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
