Onetime White House chief strategist Steve Bannon insisted on Monday that moves are afoot to secure President Donald Trump an unconstitutional third term.
“You damn right, it’s ‘Trump ’28,’” the convicted fraudster, who served in Trump’s first term, claimed on the latest episode of his “War Room” podcast.
“You damn right. You know what, it puts the fear of God in them,” added Bannon, who played a key role in Trump’s surprise 2016 win over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
Bannon then claimed that “one of the top constitutional lawyers in this country as he works through” the way to keep Trump in the White House had told him, “Bannon, you can drive a Mack truck through the 22nd Amendment.’”
“So, suck on that,” he added.
