Karnatanka’s Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Sunday that the mob attack on the old Hubli police station is most likely an organised attack. According to him, a large crowd gathered at the police station for the attack.
A mob pelted stones at the police station on Saturday night, leading to the injury of 4 policemen. ANI reported the mob was angry over a provocative video posted on social media and demanded the arrest of the accused.

Section 144 was imposed on the entire city following the incident. Police Commissioner Labhu Ram said 6 cases have been registered and forty persons involved in the incident have been arrested.
