The "Late Show" host had a little advice about a "benefit" for the president.
“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert had some medical advice for President Donald Trump on Monday after the White House released details of the MRI he had in October.
Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, said the president is in “excellent health” and that the MRI was given “because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health.”
“OK, fair enough,” Colbert said in response.
But then he went a little further and offered a medical opinion of his own for the president.
“Men in his age group also benefit from retiring,” he pointed out. “So can we write that prescription next?”
The "Tonight Show" host reminded the audience that he was just being "topical."
