Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday (Februrary 1, 2026) announced that a statue of former Premier (CM) of Madras presidency, Omandur Ramasamy Reddiyar, would be installed on the campus of the Government Medical College, Omandurar Government Estate.
Mr. Stalin made the announcement in a social media post on the occasion of Ramasamy’s birth anniversary. The Chief Minister hailed his simplicity and participation in various events during the freedom struggle.
