TVK chief Vijay attacked Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, citing his India Today interview to question alliance dynamics and highlight strain in the ruling coalition.
Actor-politician and Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, citing an India Today interview in which the CM spoke about alliance dynamics but remained silent on sharing power with the Congress.
Taking a dig at the DMK leader at a rally in Salem, Vijay said, “Stalin said an alliance will not work in Tamil Nadu,” as he pointed to the apparent strain within the ruling coalition over the Congress not being allowed to join the government.
At the India Today Tamil Nadu Round Table earlier this week, Stalin asserted that his party would form the government on its own after the 2026 Assembly elections, while clarifying that it would contest in alliance with the Congress. His remarks came amid speculation of a rift between the allies, with some Congress leaders openly expressing displeasure over not being included in the government. However, Stalin stopped short of stating whether the DMK would share power with its ally.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
