
Srinagar freezes at minus 6 degrees Celsius again, records second coldest night of season

Srinagar recorded minus 6 degrees Celsius for the second consecutive night on Sunday.
The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, again froze at minus 6 degrees Celsius and recorded the second coldest night of the season for the second consecutive night on Sunday. The unabated cold conditions continues to prevail in J&K and Ladakh and most places in the Kashmir valley experienced the coldest night of the season.
According to THE Met Data, the minimum temperature in Srinagar settled at minus 6.0 degrees Celsius against the previous night's temperature, which was also minus 6.0 degrees Celsius. This is the lowest temperature recorded so far this season.Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 6.5 degrees Celsius.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
