In yet another incident, a Spicejet aircraft had to return to Delhi after a crew member noticed smoke in the cabin. SpiceJet has been under fire due to back-to-back incidents.
A SpiceJet aircraft operating from Delhi to Jabalpur returned safely to the Delhi airport this morning after the crew noticed smoke in the cabin while passing 5000ft, said a SpiceJet spokesperson on Saturday. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched a probe into the incident.

All the passengers were safely disembarked, the SpiceJet spokesperson said.
While passing 5000ft, the crew noticed smoke in the cabin while the lavatory smoke alarm went off. The cabin crew immediately informed the cockpit crew. However, on a visual check, no sign of smoke or damage was observed.
