
Special tour package announced for tourists to Kolli Hills

Explore Kolli Hills with a special tour package including temples, waterfalls, viewpoints, and more, available until June 1.
The Namakkal district administration and the Forest Department have announced a special tour package from Sunday for tourists visiting Kolli Hills, which is located at an elevation of 1,200 metres above mean sea level and is 45 km away from Namakkal town.
The hills, which is known for its medicinal plants, has the Arapaleeswarar Temple, horticulture farm, herbal farm, Agaya Gangai waterfalls, boat house, Periyasamy Temple, Ettukaiamman Temple, Selur, Binnam, Sirumalai, and Seekuparai view points, and a pineapple farm that attract thousands of tourists, especially during the summer season.
The new package will be available till June 1 and comes with two options - ₹300 a person without food, and ₹ 450 a person with lunch and snacks, for visiting all the important tourist spots in the hill station.
Namakkal district Collector S. Uma said a vehicle arranged by the Forest Department will start at 8 a.m. every day at Semmedu Bus Stop. It will cover the tourist spots, including Masila waterfalls, Ettukaiamman Temple, Tribal Welfare Market, Kolli Hills Eco Shop, Arapaleeswarar Temple, and viewpoints. The one-day tour will end at 5.40 p.m. The lunchtime for the tourists is between 12.10 p.m. and 1.30 p.m., and evening snack time is between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
