South Carolina is trying to get back to the Final Four. The next step is a Round 2 game against USC.
The South Carolina women's basketball team will face USC in Round 2 of the NCAA Tournament Monday (8 p.m., ESPN) in a rematch of an early-season game.
The Gamecocks (32-3) beat the Trojans (18-13), 69-52, in Los Angeles on Nov. 15. Both teams started the season with All-Americans – Chloe Kitts for South Carolina and JuJu Watkins for USC – out with knee injuries that would keep them sidelined for the year.
USC got a 71-67 overtime win against Clemson in the opening round Saturday, March 21, after a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by the Tigers' Mia Moore was waved off at the end of regulation. South Carolina cruised past No. 16 Southern 103-34.
