No. 10 seed Virginia upends No. 2 Iowa in 2OT in Women's NCAA Tournament

The Cavaliers knocked off Iowa on the Hawkeyes' home court to become the first women's team to go from the First Four to the Sweet 16.
IOWA CITY — The disbelief at Carver-Hawkeye Arena said it all.
No. 2 seed Iowa saw its Women’s NCAA Tournament journey crumble on its home court Monday, March 23 to No. 10 Virginia, extending the Cavalier's Cinderella run in March.
Down by as many as nine points in the fourth quarter, Virginia forced double overtime and pulled off an 83-75 upset win over the Hawkeyes in the second round of the Women’s NCAA Tournament at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The Cavaliers advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2000, when they were coached by Hall of Famer Debbie Ryan.
The Hawkeyes were shunned from March Madness by a Virginia team that didn’t allow the home crowd to go home happy.
