According to Jayadeva Director K. S. Ravindranath, nearly 10 out of every 1,000 babies are born with complex congenital disease more commonly in the form Tetralogy of Fallot, Heart Holes, or narrowing of the valves. The usual symptoms of retardation of heart holes are fever, recurrent cough, common cold, pneumonia, growth and bluish discoloration of skin and nails, and poor weight gain, he said.
