Six kanwariyas were injured after a tractor trolley in which they were travelling overturned due to overspeeding in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district on Monday.
Six kanwariyas were injured after a tractor trolley in which they were travelling overturned due to overspeeding in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district on Monday.
The incident took place near Haiderabad police station, police said.
According to reports, a group of about 50 Kanwariyas were returning to Shahjahanpur district after offering water at the holy Shiv temple of Gola Gokaran Nath when the incident took place.
After receiving information about the accident, police rushed to the spot and sent all the injured Kanwariyas to hospital for treatment. The injured are in a stable condition, police said.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
