Sivaganga with 98.31% stands first in the State in Class X exam

Sivaganga district ranks first in Class X board exams with 98.31%, while Dindigul ranks 26th with 93.28%.
With a pass percentage of 98.31, Sivaganga district stood first in the Class X board examination in the State ranking as per results released by the School Education Department on Friday.
As the district secured second rank in 2024 with 97.02%, it has witnessed a 1.29% increase in 2025. A total of 17,679 students – 8,870 boys and 8,809 girls – from 278 schools in the district took the examination. Of them, 17,380 students – 8,662 boys and 8,718 girls – cleared the examination.
While boys secured 97.66%, girls got 98.97%, making a total of 98.31%.
In government school rankings too, Sivaganga by getting 97.49% pass percentage, stood first in the State.
From 137 government schools in the district, 7,751 students (3,633 boys and 4,038 girls) took the examination, and 7,381 students (3,411 boys and 3,970 girls) cleared the examination.
Officials attributed the success of the students to the frequent model examinations conducted ahead of the board examinations.
