Some hapless relatives of Covid patients in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj said they have been asked to make the patients sit below pipal trees for oxygen.
Patients and relatives crying for oxygen in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj were told to sit below pipal trees to increase their oxygen saturation levels. The relatives running from one oxygen plant to another were left dumbfounded by the bizarre solution provided by the police. A patient's relative, while speaking to Lallantop, broke down in tears while saying people are being asked to stay in home care instead of crowding hospitals, but they need oxygen even at home and no one's there to provide oxygen. Several patient relatives had gathered outside Prayagraj BJP MLA Harshvardhan Vajpayee's oxygen plant, which the UP government has now taken over. Authorities deployed here to maintain law and order said priority is being given to hospitals for oxygen supply.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
