
Singer AP Dhillon opens up on hate, gangster threats after Sidhu Moose Wala's murder

Soon after Punjabi rapper and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on Sunday, Punjabi-Canadian rapper AP Dhillon sought to highlight the “threats” and “hate” that “Punjabi artists had to deal with daily”.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was killed in Jawahar Ke village on Sunday while he was out with his friend Gurwinder Singh. Moose Wala had chosen not to take his bulletproof car.

Amritpal Singh Dhillon of ‘Brown Munde’ fame took to Instagram to condole Moose Wala’s death. He posted a picture of Moose Wala with a heartbreak emoji in one of his stories. In another Insta story, he said that people would not know about the threats (from gangsters) that Punjabi artists had to face.
“Most people will never know the extent of what you have to deal with as a Punjabi artist behind the scenes on a daily basis. With constant judgement, hate-filled comments, threats and negative energy directed towards people like us, who are just doing what we love to do,” Dhillon wrote.
He added, “I always admired how Sidhu was able to rise above it all. He made it look easy and stayed true to himself. Today I am praying for his family and our community. We need to do better. RIP Sidhu Moose Wala.”

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
