Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana has criticised the Uttar Pradesh government over sealing the district borders and stopping the Opposition leaders from visiting Lakhimpur Kheri.

Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana on Tuesday criticised the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government over sealing the district borders and stopping the Opposition leaders from visiting Lakhimpur Kheri.

"Iron cages were erected on all sides of the Ghazipur border to keep the farmers captive. They were sprayed with water from water cannons and sticks were used. They were fired upon in Haryana and they were hit by heavy vehicles," the editorial said.
